FAQs

How long will your battery last?

It depends on how you use it and the level of care you show it. We still have functional batteries that are 7 to 10 years old with at least 80% of their original capacity at K2.

What warranty does the battery have?

Our 1-year manufacturing warranty covers defective workmanship and materials. Depending on use, K2 batteries typically last up to 5-7 years with proper care.

How do I charge the battery?

Use chargers designed for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. For 12V batteries, charge to 14.4V and for 24V batteries, charge to 28.8V for best results.

What charger should I use?

K2 has two small chargers that can be used: K2C12V4A charger for 12V batteries and our K2C24V2A charger for 24V batteries. K2 will be introducing new chargers in the near future with higher charging current capabilities.

What is the temperature range for the battery?

Discharge–20 C to 60 C (-4 F to 140F)

Charge at 0 C to 55 C (32 F to 131 F)

How often do I need to charge the battery?

Charge it as soon as you receive it and after every use, especially if it is discharged until empty.

UNDOT 38.3. Check the data sheet for additional certifications.

Are your batteries waterproof?

No, splash resistant for most. Some can endure brief immersion in less than 1 meter of water, check the data sheet for additional information.

In a relatively cool dry place, fully charged for best results.
